Lead Hand Off

Modified on Wed, 13 Nov, 2024 at 11:59 AM

There may come a time when a Franchise Location wishes to pass on a lead to a neighboring location for one reason or another.

Unfortunately, Compass holds some checks and balances in place to ensure that locations are being assigned the customers which are present within their assigned territories. This makes the hand off from one location to another impossible, unless a certain process is followed.

To accomplish this, the giving location needs to send the lead along with a official statement that they are passing this customer onto the receiving location allowing them to perform work for this customer.

Next the receiving customer will enter the customer within their Compass application without entering the address. Entering the address will result in Compass trying to force the lead to the proper location.

Once the Customer is entered into the system (without the address) the receiving location can then edit the customer record, filling out the address at this time, which Compass will then allow without forcing it to the accurate location.

Next the receiving location will need to attach the official statement sent from the giving location to the customer record. This can easily be done by saving the statement as a PDF file then uploaded into the Customer Images / Attachments area on the Customer record.

Failure to maintain these official hand off statements on lead pass off customers may result in penalties going forward.
