Your Exit Offer Popup - What is it and How do You Update it?

Modified on Wed, 13 Nov, 2024 at 12:02 PM

One of the services we provide to all franchisees is the Exit Offer Popup.

"What's an Exit Offer Popup?"  You may ask.

Simply put, an exit offer popup, also known as an exit-intent popup, is an ad that "pops up" when the browser window thinks that a visitor is about to leave your page. You've probably seen them on other sites you use. Many offer some kind of discount if you click the ad or enter your email address. Our exit popups are designed to generate quality leads for your business by offering the customer the ability to simply enter their contact information in exchange for a free estimate and/or a service discount.

Research has shown that exit offers are extremely successful in boosting quality leads, especially when there is some kind of incentive included. Not surprisingly, the better the offer, the better the engagement, but you don't have to give away the farm to be successful. We understand that each franchisee is different, and each location is different. To that end, we offer several options for each popup we provide, so that franchisees can choose the offer that best suits their business:
  1. Free Estimate (No service discount) - selected by default
  2. $25 Off Your Service
  3. $50 Off Your Service
  4. $100 Off Your Service
It is completely up to you which messaging you choose to display on your site.

So now you might be wondering, "How do I  change my popup?"

It's super easy! All you need to do is log in to your Dashboard at my.miraclemethod.com and find the Exit Offer Popup tab on the left-hand side menu.
Step 1: Click on the "Exit Offer Popup" link
Once you're on the Exit Popup Offer page you will be able to see all the available popups.
Step 2: Select the image you'd like to use by clicking on it, by default the no offer option is selected
Click on the image you'd like to use in your popup offer. By default, the no offer - free estimate option is selected.
Step 3: Click the "Save Coupon" button
Once you've made your selection, all you have to do is click the "Save Coupon" button near the top of the page.

It's that simple!

Keep track of your results!

You will be able to identify leads that come in from your exit popup offer by checking your i360 account. Any leads generated from the popup will be attributed to exit intent. You will also receive an email each time the popup form is completed, so you can respond immediately. It is important to watch your results, and pay attention to the number of leads coming in, and the number of jobs generated from those leads. You can then use that information to make informed decisions about your business.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind...

You can update your popup as many times as you'd like, but keep in mind that frequent changes to offers can be frustrating to customers who may have seen a different offer at an earlier time. We recommend letting an offer run for at least a month before making a change. That will give your potential customers enough time to see, and engage with, your offer. It will also give you some time to evaluate if the offer is having a positive, negative, or null effect on your business.

Conversely, you may want to update your offer based on current business performance. If, for example, you are wildly busy, and are booked out for weeks in advance, you may not want to offer a discount. Instead, you may opt to run the free estimate ad, which would still bring in leads, but almost certainly fewer than if you offered a discount.

On the other hand, if it's a slow time of year for you, and you want to keep your techs busy, it may be worthwhile to you to run a $25/$50/$100 off coupon. On average, a single quality lead costs a shop over $50. With that in mind, connecting with an interested, potential customer by offering $25 off might be a worthwhile investment.

Lastly, since you are able to see that a lead was generated from your exit offer popup, you could add the value of the coupon to the job quote. For example, if you normally charge $1000 for a job, but you're running the $100 promo and a lead comes in off of that ad, simply quote the customer $1,100 and then you've in essence spent nothing but the customer feels as though they've gotten a deal.
