In compass there are three kinds of notes that are available.
Technician facing notes are printed on work orders and are presented to technicians whenever they are looking at the project if they are on mobile. Examples of this would include that the customer has a large dog, what the gate code is, or other things the technicians need to know in order to get the work done.
Customer facing notes are shown to the customer on both estimates and invoices. Examples of this might include notating that the work has a modified warranty, or that the customer is responsible for removing any plumbing ahead of time, or anything else you want the customer to see on their paperwork.
Office notes are for internal front office or back office operations purposes. An example of this would be that the office needs to send an experienced tech.
