In certain cases, you may find a small percentage of your leads are delivered to another office.
There are a few causes for this situation - all of them outside of our control.
Common scenarios are:
1) The prospect searches on Google organic, and Google identifies the user as living in a different city/state.
While rare, this does happen. Commuters, cell phone users, ISP variance, etc can all result in Google delivering a user to a different local site than the intended work address is serviced by.
2) A PPC/Marketing campaign targets users only within a specific area, and Google mis-identifies the users location
Again, while rare, this can happen. We rely on Google's targeting process to ensure location accuracy, and in some situations Google can identify users based on their cell phone's last confirmed location, their ISP's data, the users work city vs home city, etc.
Because we rely on Google's massive investment in geo-targeting, there is little we can do to address this, other than to report it to Google's systems. Generally we see this very rarely occurring, however there can be 'runs' of leads from time to time which Google mis-identifies.
In the vast majority of cases, it is 'free' (aka SEO, Organic) leads which Google does not perfectly geolocate and shows a nearby MM Franchise to the user.
